Arizona Registrar of Contractors

From azroc.gov:
The agency's mission is to promote quality construction by Arizona contractors through a licensing and regulatory system designed to protect the health, safety and welfare of the public.

The Arizona Registrar of Contractors (AZROC) is the regulation and law enforcment agency for contractors for the state of Arizona. They are the group responsible for keeping contractors to their obligations and holding them responsible for the quality of their work. They have legal authority and are a government agency unlike any other association touted as promoting business ethics.

Scottsdale Air Heating and Cooling has been a licensed contractor with the AZROC since 1947, and in 62 years has only had two qualifying partners in that time; Clyde Alexander from 1947 to 1989, and Michael Cross from 1989 to today. Since 1947 we have not received a single complaint on our licenses, a claim which we are very proud of and strive to keep that way on a daily basis.

Before choosing a contractor to do any work inside of or on your home, make sure to ask them about the status of their license, and then look them up with the AZROC either by calling or going to the website. Contracting without a license is a crime in Arizona to protect home owners.
